WASHINGTON, Feb. 2
Anderson going nude for Paris cabaret
PARIS, Feb. 2 U.S. actress Pamela Anderson, whose curves earned her international fame on the TV series "Baywatch," is to appear nude in a Paris cabaret stage show.

The 40-year-old actress, whose role on the TV series "Home Improvement" helped ignite her career, will bare all during a nude review at the Paris cabaret house Crazy Horse, OK! Magazine reported Friday.

The risque show, which reportedly will place the actress on a Harley Davidson motorcycle as part of a special strip tease, will take place this month.

Anderson's performance will not mark her first time going nude, as the actress has appeared unclothed in Playboy magazine multiple times.

The magazine said Crazy Horse recently enjoyed an appearance from another noteworthy celebrity when French actress Arielle Dombasle took part in a rare cameo appearance at the famed Paris night spot.

Network heads accused of extending strike
WASHINGTON, Feb. 2 The chiefs of two top U.S. entertainment studios have been accused by California congressional Democrats of extending the writers' strike, sources say.

Sources said the Democratic group led by Rep. George Miller, D-Calif., has accused Walt Disney Co. President Robert Iger and Fox President Peter Chernin of delaying negotiations in the ongoing Writers Guild of America strike, The Hollywood Reporter reported Saturday.

The House Education and Labor Committee chairman has paired with Reps. Linda Sanchez and Lynn Woolsey, both D-Calif., to urge the committee to determine the extent of the impact of the lengthy entertainment industry strike.

"Given the House Education and Labor Committee's jurisdiction, we are exploring the need for further committee attention to this matter," the U.S. lawmakers said in a letter to the Hollywood executives revealed by the sources. "The impact of this strike on workers, the industry and our economy is simply too pronounced to ignore."

The Reporter said the congressional committee could start an official investigation into the WGA strike in an attempt to highlight its economic impact and potentially move negotiations forward.

Spice Girls tour limited by 'commitments'
LONDON, Feb. 2 The Spice Girls have cut short their reunion world tour, citing "family and personal commitments."

A Spice Girls spokesman said unspecified commitments by each member of the "Wannabe" pop group would result in the reunion tour officially ending Feb. 2 in Toronto, the BBC reported Saturday.

"Sadly, the tour needs to come to an end by the end of February due to family and personal commitments for Emma, Geri, Mel B, Melanie C and Victoria," the unidentified spokesman said.

The group's reunion tour began Dec. 2 and has included appearances in Canada, Germany, Spain and the United States.

A statement from the group hinted the singers could tour again in the future.

"There have been so many highlights and good times that we know it will be hard to be apart after Toronto," the Spice Girls said.

"Really sorry if we didn't get to see you this time round. We all have other commitments in our lives now, but who knows what will happen next."

Murphy and ex-wife sell California home
SACRAMENTO, Feb. 2 Comedian Eddie Murphy and his first wife, Nicole Mitchell Murphy, have sold their vacation home in Granite Bay, Calif., for $6.1 million.

The property with its 11,000-square-foot main house and nearby guest house had served as a vacation spot for the couple, who finalized their divorce in 2006, the Los Angeles Times said Saturday.

The home, near Folsom Lake, has 10 bedrooms, a video-game arcade, an infinity pool and a tennis court.

During their 12 years of marriage, the 46-year-old "Norbit" star and 40-year-old model had five children together.

She reportedly also has placed a second home up for sale in Calabasas, Calif., for nearly $10 million.

The Times said the property sales come on the heels of Eddie Murphy's separation from producer Tracey Edmonds two weeks after their New Year's Day wedding.
