The sports daily Marca noted that Diego Maradona arrived in Madrid Wednesday, and showed a photograph of father and daughter at the Vicente Calderon stadium for the game between Aguero's team, Atletico Madrid, and Valencia. The team from the capital won the game, but were still eliminated from the King's Cup.
There has been speculation about the relationship between the Argentina striker, 19, and Maradona's daughter, 18, for months, although all those involved tried to handle it with discretion to avoid excessive media exposure.
The football legend's presence Wednesday in Madrid, appeared to concede that the ties between the two youngsters are relatively serious.
