LOS ANGELES - Troubled pop singer Britney Spears' manager Sam Lufti was grilled at a deposition by her ex-husband Kevin Federline's legal team.
OK magazine reports that Federline's attorney, Mark Vincent Kaplan is trying to establish if Britney played ball with photo agencies who seemed to turn up wherever she went with her two sons. Kaplan grilled Lufti and asked him if he sold these photographs to various magazines and television series. The moot question here is whether Britney knew about these deals.
Britney is currently engaged in an acrimonious custody battle for her two sons; two-year-old Sean Preston and one-year-old Jayden James. Superior Court commissioner Scott Gordon has given custody to Federline, but until this month, the Toxic singer had temporary visitation rights.
A bizarre incident where the singer refused to hand over the boys to Federline forced police to intervene and her visitation rights were suspended till the next hearing on February 19.
Meanwhile Britney herself gave a deposition at Mr Kaplan's office on Monday. "We are going over things that are very, very gut-wrenching," Kaplan told People. "She came for her deposition, that's great. Showing up is form over substance."
He was referring to the fact that Britney has missed multiple deposition sessions.
