Melbourne - The locker room hip-hop soundtrack favoured by world number two Svetlana Kuznetsova might have had more of an effect than imagined on rival Justine Henin. "Kuzy" is a well-known free spirit, her personality the opposite of the more buttoned-up Belgian, but weekly doses of the Kuznetsova collection seems to have freed up Henin's musical tastes.
"She listens to strange music, not the kind of music that I'm used to, so I'm always teasing her with that," Henin said.
The seven-time Grand Slam winner then dropped a bombshell: "I just started some hip-hop lessons, so she wants to know about that."
Henin explained that the idea was that of her fitness trainer, using the urban sounds as a tool to work on movement.
"My fitness coach gives hip hop lessons," she said. "Just for fun sometimes, we do it. It's just my relaxing time in preparation.
"An hour a week we do some hip hop. I'm so bad, but I want to improve, so that's good," said Henin, who added that she was decidedly unlikely to bust out any of her new moves on court.
