LAS VEGAS, Jan. 13 Sen. Barack Obama lashed out Sunday at his leading rival for the Democratic presidential nomination for recent remarks she made about Dr. Martin Luther King.

During a conference call to announce Missouri Sen. Claire McCaskill's endorsement, the junior senator from Illinois criticized Sen. Hillary Clinton, D-N.Y., for saying his campaign was trying to argue she was somehow disrespectful in what she said about King and President Lyndon Johnson the day before the New Hampshire primary, the Chicago Tribune reported.

"This is, you know, fascinating to me. I think what we saw this morning is why the American people are tired of Washington politicians and the games they play," Obama said. "Look, Sen. Clinton made an unfortunate remark, an ill-advised remark, about Dr. King and Lyndon Johnson … I think, offended some folks who felt that it somehow diminished King's role in bringing about the Civil Rights Act."

McCaskill, who was elected to the Senate in 2006, said she is backing him because he has proven he can work with both sides of the political aisle.

"As I worked with him trying to find a way to get past the partisan food fight, I realized this was an extraordinary leader," she said.

Racial Remarks un-true!
By: VoteResponsibly08 , Sun, 20 Jan 2008 20:54:09 GMT

Obama would like and in someway has manipulated the truth..Is this the honest guy he claims to be? The Clintons have always stood for civil rights, he was even known as the Black President. Many Black Leaders stand side by side Hillary and this is not because they would imply any negative remarks towards MLK/ Obama has abused by using what MLK stood for. WE must all remember, MLK did not become our Hero by jumping on the coattails of people/he worked hard and suffered the umbarrable. So Please!! Obama is just the kid that throws the rocks and hides the hand. Shame on him... Nobody was thinking about racism, we were thinking who would be more qualified to be president and of desperation he now uses the race card and MLK..Shame on Him! There was voter suppression. The union bullied many of its members, I know because I have a friend that is a member. Obama placed an unforgiviable spanish add, which was not only lies but insulting to Mrs. Clinton and all women. Honorable??? like I said he is the kid that threw the rocks and hid his hand!
