CHATSWORTH, Calif., Jan. 8 California's Red Light District film production company has acquired the rights to distribute a sex video called "Joey Buttafuoco: Caught on Tape."
Red Light District said it made the deal with the tape's creator, adult entertainment director Rob Spalone. The terms of the deal weren't disclosed.
Red Light District has previously distributed separate celebrity sex tapes featuring Paris Hilton, Dustin Diamond, Chyna and Amy Fisher.
Buttafuoco became an unlikely celebrity because of his 1992 affair with a then-underage Fisher, who subsequently shot Buttafuoco's first wife Mary Jo.
Mary Jo Buttafuoco survived and Fisher went to jail. Joey Buttafuoco was also put behind bars for having sex with a minor.
David Joseph, Red Light District's chief executive officer, said Buttafuoco and his wife Evanka were caught on tape having sex while attending a party at Spalone's home.
He said the couple were unaware Spalone had placed three hidden cameras in the hope of catching something interesting at the party.
"Spalone didn't know that he had captured Joey and Evanka until a couple of weeks later when he completed reviewing the footage from the party," Joseph said in a statement.
