Embarrassing hack - A host of telephone numbers of American celebrities has become available on the Internet after Paris Hilton's mobile phone was hacked; so fancy a chat with Vin Diesel or Eminem?
Many of the unlisted and super-secret celebrity numbers - which include private phone numbers and e-mail addresses of Eminem, Lindsay Lohan, Christina Aguilera, Andy Roddick, Ashlee Simpson, Victoria Gotti, Vin Diesel and Anna Kournikova – has been exposed.
It was, however, unclear last night how the names and numbers got posted, but they appeared just days after, Nicolas Jacobsen pleaded guilty to hacking his way into T-Mobile last fall, gaining access to millions of customers, including Paris Hilton's T-Mobile Sidekick account.
The hacker, Jacobsen (22) reportedly pleaded guilty to one count of breaking into a protected computer Tuesday.
William Genovese (27), another hacker facing unrelated charges, said that Jacobsen had candid photos of Hilton, Demi Moore, Ashton Kutcher and Nicole Richie that the celebrities had snapped with their cell phone cameras.
Victoria Gotti, whose number was also flashed on the net, said: “I got 100 calls in two hours. I didn't want to take the phones off the hook because my oldest son was out on a date.”
“This went on all night. Finally, at 5:30am, I took them off the hook. This morning, I put them back on and they started ringing immediately. It's driving me insane,” said the reality TV star and writer.
The FBI meanwhile has started an investigation into the case.
