NEW YORK, Dec. 27 New York record producer Danger Mouse is part of a group project known as Underground Animals that will make its public debut in animated form. The team includes a number of notable producers who will putting together a compilation album for release next year and working under stage names that Downtown/Atlantic Records co-founder Josh Deutsch said would add an element of mystery to the project. We have some very celebrated producers and some up-and-comers, all of whom are arranged around Danger, Deutsch told Billboard.com Wednesday. Everybody is producing under a pseudonym.Like its cartoon predecessor Gorillaz, Underground Animal will put on an animated public face that will be available entirely on line.The project is the latest on a full plate for Danger Mouse, who has been touring with Gnarls Barkley and producing Gorillaz alumni Damon Albarn's new band.Copyright 2006 by UPI
