Johannesburg - International visitors arriving at South Africa's OR Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg earlier this week were given the proverbial two fingers by welcome boards that read "F*** you."A spokeswoman for the airport told the Son newspaper, which carried pictures of the offending electronic message boards in its Friday edition, that airport authorities had no idea who tampered with the greeting.
Many workers had access to the system, she said, adding an internal investigation was underway.
OR Tambo Airport is undergoing a multi-billion-rand upgrade ahead of the 2010 FIFA football World Cup being held in South Africa.
A message above the door of the international arrivals hall currently warns people to "Enter at your own risk."
