Stuttgart - Germany striker Mario Gomez won't play for defending Bundesliga champions VfB Stuttgart until the new year because of pleurisy. Gomez will miss this weekend's Bundesliga encounter against VfL Wolfsburg as well as the Champions League tie against Barcelona in midweek and next weekend's league match against Bielefeld. "Gomez won't play on Saturday. He won't play again this year, which is naturally bitter for us," said club manager Horst Heldt.
