LOS ANGELES, Dec. 6 Former U.S. Presidents Bill Clinton and Jimmy Carter and presidential hopeful Barack Obama have been nominated for Grammy Awards.
The three will face off in the best spoken word album category.
Obama was nominated for "The Audacity of Hope: Thoughts on Reclaiming the American Dream," while Clinton got the nod for "Giving: How Each of Us Can Change the World" and Carter made the short list for "Sunday Mornings in Plains: Bringing Peace to a Changing World."
Alan Alda, an actor who played a presidential candidate on TV's "The West Wing," was also nominated for the best spoken word album for "Things I Overheard While Talking to Myself."
Poet Maya Angelou's "Celebrations" is also in the running.
The 50th annual Grammy Awards ceremony is slated to take place Feb. 10 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.
