MILWAUKEE, Dec. 16 Dominic James had 17 points and six assists Saturday to lead the 22nd-ranked Marquette Golden Eagles to a 68-46 win over Maryland-Baltimore County.
Jerel McNeal added 15 points and Lazar Hayward had 13 points and seven rebounds for Marquette (10-2). After starting the season 8-0, the Golden Eagles had dropped two of their last three home games.
Thomas Young had 17 points for UMBC (4-7), while Chris Pugh was the only other player in double figures for the Retrievers with 15 points.
Marquette had a 15-2 run to take a 30-10 lead with 3:41 left in the first half.
