LONDON, Nov. 13 Entertainer Boy George has been charged in London with false imprisonment stemming from a complaint lodged in April by a 28-year-old man.
The 47-year-old former Culture Club lead singer, whose real name is George O'Dowd, was charged Monday after appearing with his lawyer at a London police station, Metropolitan Police spokesman Andrew Newman told CNN.
Newman said the singer was first arrested in April for an alleged incident in East London.
NME.com said O'Dowd is accused of chaining a man to the wall of his home.
O'Dowd was released on bail and ordered to appear in Thames Magistrates Court on Nov. 22, CNN said.
