London, Nov 13 - Scottish singer K.T. Tunstall is slamming the world's obsession with troubled pop singer Britney Spears and says it has gotten out of control.

According to contactmusic.com, Tunstall believes the attention given to Spears has reached ridiculous heights and compares it to ancient Roman audiences baying for the blood of gladiators.

She said: 'There's this anti-intellectualism going on with all the magazines who cover her. It's almost like the days of the gladiators. The people are begging for death.'

Obsessed Britney fans

Carter, I highly doubt KT Tunstall is jealous of Britney.

I agree with Tunstall, there IS an obsession with Britney, and that can't be healthy for anyone involved.

She's just jealous...

...because she will never be nearly as hot as Britney or as popular, and on top of that, her music sucks, while Britney continues to see records and her music is awesome!! LONG LIVE BRITNEY SPEARS!!!!!
