Right activists to meet in Chhattisgarh

Raipur, Nov 13 - Activists from across the country will meet here early next month to highlight the alleged rights abuses in the state.The People's Union for Civil Liberties (PUCL) will hold a three-day convention beginning Dec 8 to debate what it calls 'human rights abuses and the state government's well-planned design to sequestrate the resources of the state for corporate interests and target human rights activists'.The PUCL meet will be held in the backdrop of the arrest of its national vice-president Binayak Sen May 14 on charges of acting as a courier to jailed Maoist ideologue Narayan Sanyal.
