Los Angeles - Shia LaBeouf, the 21-year-old star of Transformers and Indiana Jones, was arrested for refusing to leave a Chicago area drugstore, amid reports that he was drunk. The incident sparked concern that LaBeouf, who is considered the hottest young star in Hollywood, could be on the way to losing control of his life like other young stars Britney Spears and Lindsay Lohan.

LaBeouf was arrested at a Walgreens drugstore in Chicago Sunday at 2 am for refusing to leave the premises, police said. The actor was arrested after a security guard requested that he leave the drugstore, resulting in a charge of misdemeanor criminal trespassing. He was taken to a police station and booked, and then posted bail some five hours later. His court date is November 28.

News of the arrest was a surprise to many in Hollywood as LaBeouf, a protégé of director Steven Spielberg, has earned a reputation as a talented, hard-working, and down-to-earth actor.

************* Katie Holmes saunters in heels after marathon run =

New York - Actress Katie Holmes, the wife of Tom Cruise, ran the New York marathon in under six hours Sunday. Then she kept going in high heels to the premiere screening of her husband's new anti-war film Lions for Lambs.

The movie, directed by Robert Redford and also starring Meryl Streep, connects the war in Afghanistan to a political drama in Washington.

Holmes and Cruise, who reportedly invited top ranking members of their Scientology organization to the exclusive event, did not stay for the post-screening party after her exhausting day.

The Batman Begins star ran most of the marathon in disguise and was only revealed when Cruise, carrying their baby Suri in his arms, demanded a kiss from his roadside viewing spot in Central Park.

"I'm good, but I'm feeling very tired," the 28-year-old star told People.

*********** Stallone to reprise Bronson's Death Wish =

Los Angeles - Actor Sylvester Stallone is to direct and star in a remake of the 1974 Charles Bronson movie Death Wish. MGM hopes the movie will spawn another franchise like Stallone's Rocky and Rambo movies.

In the movie, Stallone will play an ordinary man who becomes a vigilante after his wife and daughter are murdered by street hoodlums. Set to write the script are Michael Ferris and John Brancato, whose credits include Terminator 3: Rise of the Machiens and Terminator Salvation: The Future Begins.

Directed by Britain's Michael Winner, the original Death Wish set off a fad of vigilante movies and spawned four sequels the last of which, Death Wish V, appeared in 1995.

****** Gisele Budchen selling New York pad =

New York - Brazilian supermodel Gisele Bundchen is selling her three story penthouse in Manhattan for the bargain price of 9.2 million dollars, after originally asking 10.9 million dollars for the stunning pad.

The 170-square-metre, two-bedroom two-bath apartment only cost Bundchen some 3 million dollars five years ago. No wonder she was named by Forbes magazine as this year's richest model, with a staggering 33 million dollars in earnings over the past year.

The Victoria's Secret star is now hooked up with American Football star Tom Brady in a large townhouse in New York's Greenwich Village.
