CARSON, Calif., Nov. 4 Kevin Hartman posted his MLS-record 14th post-season shutout Saturday, as Kansas City played Chivas USA to 0-0 draw to reach the Western Conference finals.
The fourth-seeded Wizards (12-12-8) had previously topped Chivas USA, 1-0, in their home leg last Saturday.
Chivas USA (15-8-9) had won the Western Conference regular-season title, but played Saturday night without leading scorer Maykel Galindo (abdominal injury) and second-leading scorer Ante Razov.
The Wizards will meet the defending champion Dynamo in Houston next Saturday in the opening match of the Western Conference Championship. Copyright 2007 by UPI
