Outlook Live a new product introduced by Microsoft is ready to beat the competition with the web mail services offered by Yahoo and Google. After all making someone buy Microsoft Outlook mail service is not easy when free mail service providers are equally good (and even better).
So now Microsoft has come out with a new strategy to allure email users from free services to a paid one. They have merged Outlook with Hotmail calling it Outlook Live and they believe that this will attract more customers.
Outlook Live will be available on subscription basis. The service can be availed by paying $59.95 for a year.
However, through April 19, Microsoft is offering a discounted annual rate of $44.95. Outlook live allows users view and manage their personal information including email accounts, contacts and calendars from anyplace where there is internet connection.
Outlook live comes with 2GB of online storage space and supports mails with attachments as big as 20MB in size. The mail service also gives better virus protection and filters out unwanted spam.
"Outlook Live is the most advanced email service available from Microsoft and is perfect for individuals who really want to get the most out of their email,” said Blake Irving who is the corporate vice president for the MSN communication services.
The mails service is currently available only in US, UK and Canada, but if the software performs well then it will be available very soon in other countries.
