ATLANTA, Oct. 25 A U.S. condom maker is looking for volunteers to test the performance of its products and report back with first-hand results.

Durex said 1,000 volunteers will be selected, with one lucky tester receiving a $1,000 cash prize. The rest of the volunteers will receive free condoms and other products, along with the satisfaction of a job well done.

At least 4,000 people have already applied, the New York Post said Wednesday.

"Durex wants condom and lubricant users to not only have safe sex, but to also have fun," brand manager Stephen Mare said in a release. "What better way to ensure that our products are meeting the needs of Americans than to ask them first-hand?"
