MANCHESTER, N.H., Oct. 23 U.S. Republican presidential candidate Rudy Giuliani filed as a candidate in the New Hampshire primary Tuesday.
Former New York Mayor Giuliani, 63, said he has supported the New Hampshire's "first in the nation" primary status, but would not be involved in intra-party disputes over delegates, the Union Leader reported.
"If you concentrate on that as a presidential candidate, you just get caught in the weeds," he said after filing, the newspaper said. "I'm going to lower taxes, I'm going to lower government spending, and they can trust me because I have done it before."
Presidential candidate Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., 71, filed earlier in the day for the state's primary.
