ST. PAUL, Minn., Oct. 23 A judge granted a restraining order against a Georgia woman accused of harassing Minnesota writer and radio host Garrison Keillor.

In a petition filed Oct. 12, Keillor claimed Andrea R. Campbell has written him numerous e-mail messages, sent him gifts, showed up at his home and mailed him "unusual and unwanted items" like a petrified alligator's foot and dead beetles, the St. Paul Pioneer Press reported Tuesday.

Campbell, a married mother of five, told the newspaper she received the legal papers Monday but denied the allegations, stating she was just a fan who wanted to show her gratitude.

In the petition, Keillor said the trouble started in April when Campbell attended a live performance of his public radio show, "A Prairie Home Companion," in Columbus, Ga.

After that, she contacted him repeatedly at work and home and sent him odd gifts in

perfume-soaked packages.

The e-mail messages and letters are often "disturbing, unintelligible and rambling," and in one, Campbell "graphically described making love to me," Keillor wrote.

Campbell said she wants Keillor to drop the court action.
