Finnish mobile giant Nokia has announced the introduction of the N810 Internet tablet, which offers both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity. Nokia announced the new Internet Tablet the Web 2.0 Summit in San Francisco.
The N810 is run on maemo Linux based OS2008 and includes a Mozilla based browser equipped with Ajax and Adobe flash 9. It also features the qwerty keyboard with a sliding screen. The N810 has got a 4.13-inch screen and offers support for VoIP feature, mobile e-mail as well as instant messaging.
Other features in the N810 include integrated GPS as well as video camera for video conferencing. It also has an in-built media player so it can double up as a music device as well. Skype and Rhapsody services are also supported in this device.
"The Nokia N810 packs the power of a traditional computer into a pocket-sized format. Its open standard technology accelerates the convergence of multiple functionalities and services into a single device," said a statement issued by Ari Virtanen, convergence products chief at Nokia.
The N810 will start shipping from November and will cost $479.
