Cologne, Germany - The German tuning firm Heico Sportiv has created an eco-version of the Volvo S80, giving it a six cylinder 257 kW/350 hp turbo engine running on E85 biofuel. The FlexiFuel engine accelerates from zero to 100 km/h in 5.8 seconds with the top speed electronically controlled at 250 km/h.

Featuring wider skirts all around, the sporting look is accentuated by the matte black chrome trim, 20-inch wheels and a stainless steel exhaust system.

Volvo has however not given details of the carbon dioxide emissions or fuel consumption figures. The fuel, E85, is a mixture of 85 per cent ethanol and 15 per cent petrol.

The car will be go on show at the US SEMA tuning show in Las Vegas from October 30 to November 2.

The Swedish car maker has also presented a more powerful version of the C30 with a turbo engine of 220 kW/300 hp, a lowered chassis and 19-inch alloy wheels.
