LOS ANGELES, Oct. 11 Andy Baldwin, former star of the U.S. television reality series "The Bachelor," has split up with his fiancee, Tessa Horst, USmagazine.com reported Thursday.
Baldwin's representative confirmed the 30-year-old U.S. Navy doctor is to be deployed to Iraq for up to 12 months.
"He leaves in January," the representative told the magazine.
The long-distance romance was already proving difficult for Baldwin, who lives in Hawaii, and Horst, who lives in San Francisco, and a friend of Baldwin's said the news he was going abroad "was a factor" in the breakup.
