Britney Spears paid the ultimate price for her numerous troubles with the law after a California judge ordered the pop star to relinquish the custody of her kids to ex-husband Kevin Federline.
Federline will now have the sole custody of Sean Preston, 2, and one year old Jayden James starting from Wednesday until the court issues any further order. The ruling comes a month after Spears was instructed by Judge Scott Gordon to hire a parenting coach to help her take care of the kids and undergo random drug tests after reports of her continuous use of drugs came to surface.
Following Spears' divorce with Federline, both the parents had agreed to share the custody of their two sons. However with Spears frequently using drugs and alcohol, and some bizarre behavior that included driving a car with her son on her lap, made Federline to appeal for full custody of his kids.
Last month Spears' divorce lawyer Laura Wasser parted ways with the pop star while her management company severed ties with the 25-year old. A former bodyguard revealed that Spears was a frequent drug user and he feared for the safety of her kids.
