NASVILLE, Tenn., Sept. 25 The Eagles are set to perform at The 41st Annual CMA Awards in Nashville this fall, marking the first time the band plays an awards show.
The awards show is slated to be broadcast live on Nov. 7 on ABC from the Sommet Center.
The band's decision to appear on the CMA Awards follows the success of their recent hit single, "How Long," which has been embraced by country music fans, CMA organizers said.
"How Long" is the first single from the Eagles soon-to-be released, double-disc album, "Long Run out of Eden," which features 20 new studio recordings.
"From the early 1970s, this group has defined country rock, and more than three decades later they are still creating music that resonates with our audience," CMA chief operating officer, Tammy Genovese, said in a statement. "They are an outstanding addition to the incredible lineup of performers for the CMA Awards."
