Miley Cyrus rep denies pregnancy reports
LOS ANGELES, Sept. 24 A representative for Miley Cyrus is denying reports that the 14-year-old "Hannah Montana" star and pop singer is pregnant.
"It's 100 percent false. Someone doctored a J-14 article and posted this online," publicist Meghan Prophet told People. "It's ridiculous and completely untrue. Miley is not pregnant. She just wrapped season two of 'Hannah Montana' and will go on tour beginning Oct. 18."
J-14 has also posted a denial on its Web site stating, "Despite Internet rumors, J-14 NEVER reported that Miley Cyrus is pregnant."
Clooney: 'All is fine' after bike crash
BURBANK, Calif., Sept. 24 Hollywood actor George Clooney says he is doing well after a motorcycle accident in New Jersey last week.
Clooney suffered a hairline rib fracture and road rash, while his girlfriend, Sarah Larson, broke her foot when their motorcycle and a car collided Friday.
Clooney told "Access Hollywood" presenter Nancy O'Dell "all is fine" after the accident, even joking with the new mom that it was "not like giving birth."
Despite the crash, Clooney was still planning to attend the world premiere of "Michael Clayton," Tuesday night in New York City.
"Access Hollywood" co-host Billy Bush also interviewed the 27-year-old chef, Albert Sciancalepore, who was involved in the accident with Clooney.
Asked what he thought upon learning the other party in the accident was Clooney, Sciancalepore said: "My main concern was there's two people on the ground, they just hit me and, you know, I'm concerned for them.
"They are both bleeding, it's more of a shock than anything, not because he's a celebrity, but more to the fact that there's two people hurt on the ground that could have been severely hurt," he said.
Clooney's representative told the show, however, that the actor's bike was hit by the car.
Master P wants to clean up hip-hop
NEW YORK, Sept. 24 U.S. rapper Master P is encouraging his fellow hip-hop artists to clean up the language in their songs.
The recording artist, whose real name is Percy Miller, is expected to testify Tuesday at a congressional hearing called "From Imus to Industry: The Business of Stereotypes and Degradation," the New York Daily News reported Monday.
He is the only rapper expected to attend the hearing.
"I used to be part of the problem but I have matured," Master P told the Daily News.
"I am not trying to take away anyone's freedom of speech," he said. "I'm concerned about the constant use of profanity. And it's time to clean up hip hop in order to preserve it for the next generation."
Master P has even created his own record label to promote performers with clean lyrics.
He and his actor-rapper son, Lil' Romeo, formed The Miller Boyz under the label and recently released the album "Hip-Hop History," the News said.
Musical 'Repo!' begins filming in Canada
TORONTO, Sept. 24 The new film musical, "Repo! The Genetic Opera," has begun filming in Toronto, Twisted Pictures and Lionsgate announced Monday.
Darren Lynn Bousman, who helmed the three "Saw" sequels for Twisted Pictures, is directing the film from a screenplay by Terrence Zdunich and Darren Smith, co-creators of the original "Repo!" stage production.
Japanese songwriter and composer Yoshiki is producing the movie's soundtrack, while recording artist and stage performer Sarah Brightman will make her feature film debut, acting alongside Anthony Head, Paris Hilton, Paul Sorvino and Alexa Vega.
Bousman previously directed the Los Angeles stage production of "Repo!" in 2002.
"I'm very excited to be bringing this story to life with each of these outstanding performers," Bousman said in a statement. "They bring so much flair to 'Repo's' bizarre fantasy world, while entirely disappearing into their shadowy characters."
Set in the not-so-distant future, the story is about a biotech company that offers payment plans to customers who can't buy new body parts outright in a world where organ failure has already wiped out millions. All financed organs are subject to default procedures, however, and a notorious team of organ repo men are charged with taking them back.
