Milan - Sampdoria striker Antonio Cassano is to delay by about a month his Serie A debut due to a pulled muscle, the Genoa side's website reported Tuesday. Cassano, 25, injured his left thigh during a friendly played against Swiss side Bellinzona at the weekend.
The unruly striker in the summer joined Samp on loan from Real Madrid, returning to the Serie A after one indifferent season at the Spanish champions. He began his professional career in his native Bari and played five seasons with Roma.
