NEW YORK, Sept. 9 New York Knicks coach Isiah Thomas will be in civil court this week to answer allegations he sexually harassed a former employee of the NBA franchise.
In her lawsuit against the former NBA star, former Knicks executive Anucha Browne Sanders alleges Thomas propositioned her for sex and repeatedly used inappropriate language, the New York Post said Sunday.
The suit also alleges Sanders' career with the stories NBA franchise crumbled after she rebuked Thomas' sexual advances.
As part of her lawsuit, for which jury selection will begin Monday, Sanders is seeking $10 million in damages and job reinstatement.
For his part in the matter, the former Detroit Pistons star denied Sanders' allegations and said he is simply naturally affectionate.
Madison Square Garden officials have also backed Thomas, saying Sanders' suit is completely without merit.
"We have looked forward to having this matter heard in court," a spokesman for the sports facility said. "We believe it will be clear that this meritless lawsuit is riddled with fabrications and really all about money."
