Berlin - LG Electronics is now selling a PC drive that can burn Blu-ray discs at 6x speed as well as play back HD-DVDs. The GGW-H20N costs 400 dollars, its Korean manufacturer reported from the International Wireless Exhibition (IFA) in Berlin. All current CD and DVD formats, including DVD dual and double layer, are also supported.
The burner will be available in stores in an internal version with SATA connection starting in October. An external variant with a USB 2.0 port is expected in early 2008.
