Taipei -
Taiwan on Wednesday issued a
travel warning for
Thailand as anti-government protestors planned weekend demonstrations in and around Bangkok. The Foreign Ministry urged Taiwan travellers to cancel trips to Thailand unless they were necessary.
If they must go, it said, they should avoid places where the protests are held, mind their personal
safety and stay in touch with Taiwan's representative office in Thailand.
Supporters of exiled former premier Thaksin Shinawatra plan to hold protests involving 500,000 to 1 million people from Sunday to demand early elections.
