Hong Kong - Four elderly
women were taken to
hospital after a neighbour attacked them with insecticide for being too noisy while playing Mahjong,
Hong Kong police said Friday. The women, aged between 69 and 83, suffered dizziness and breathing problems after the annoyed neighbour sprayed insecticide into their flat early afternoon Thursday.
Police said the 45-year-old man was angry because of the noise the women were making while playing mahjong, a popular Chinese game with tiles like colourful dominoes which are shuffled and flipped in a noisy manner during play.
The women were later discharged after
treatment and the man was arrested.
